UNLEASHED DOG PLAY within our beautiful, diverse 8 acre fenced in FREEDOM PARK!
VT Barks & Recreation, LLC – Canine Camp in Monkton/North Ferrisburgh, Vermont, is offering private access to our park. Hours 9AM-7PM all days except Tuesdays, Fridays, and Holidays.
My husband and I are owners and managers of VT Barks & Recreation, LLC – Canine Camp. We have a beautifully fenced in "freedom park" that would be wonderful for owners that can not take their dogs off leash for whatever the reason. We understand the importance of off leash play for ALL dogs, but we also understand that not all dogs are great candidates for a traditional dog park. We also know some dogs need their own space away from other dogs and people, but would love to run and play off leash with their family! This is what led us to the idea of privately renting our fenced in FREEDOM PARK for dogs and their owners (or trainers) to enjoy a stress free, safe happy hour with your canine friend(s) giving them the freedoms of run, play, search, explore, climb and able to just be a dog.
We have 8 fenced in acres for your dog(s) to have to themselves during your time. The fenced in area would be available to one pod group per visit, so it is perfect for recall training, working with reactive dogs in a safe environment or just simply watch your dog(s) have the time of their life without worry of other people or dogs.
There will be 30 minutes between each reserved time slot.
Some different ways you and your dog(s) can benefit from the FREEDOM PARK:
Distraction free dog time
Safe, private spaces to help you minimize distractions or triggers and maximize time with your dog.
Off leash enrichment
Exploration and activities you can't get anywhere else; wear your dog out for days.
Safe playdates
Socialize your pup in a controlled, private spot - it's great exercise, it's safe and it's fun for you and your dog.
Rental for Professional Trainers
Professional Trainers who are interested in renting the FREEDOM PARK would need to add us as an additional insured to their existing commercial liability policy, and provide proof/certificate of insurance. There is typically no extra charge to make this type of change, and the change can typically be done very quickly.
General Rules
Always make sure to walk the perimeter of any enclosure to ensure it is secure before letting your dog off leash. If you find an area that needs attention, please let us know.
Please pick up after your pets. Bring your own poop bags which you may leave in the several buckets located within the park and at the entrance gate. Please leave the park as you found it.
Make sure to stay with and watch your pup at all times.
We require all dogs to be current on Rabies, Distemper, Kennel Cough and a parasite free fecal test within the last 6 months.
Please bring your own water and water bowls.
Please plan accordingly and do your best to arrive and leave on time as other families may have reserved time.
Treat the space as you would your own.
Please manage any excessive barking
No more than 4 dogs in the Freedom Park at once.
And lastly, the most important rule of all: have fun!
